The Aberlour Distillery

Situated at the junction of the Rivers Lour and Spey, Aberlour Distillery lies in a beautiful glen, surrounded by glorious scenery dominated by the rugged peaks of Ben Rinnes a short distance away.
Most Aberlour single malts are double cask matured.
The spirit is matured separately in the best quality ex-sherry butts and ex-bourbon casks for the required period of time. When it is ready to be bottled, whisky from the two types of casks is brought together for the first time and the different flavours and textures are subtly merged.
The Aberlour Distillery visitor centre has been awarded the maximum five-star status by Scotland’s National Tourism Board. The relaxed and informal tours enable guests to experience the whisky-making process and sample a selection of the finished products in a tutored tasting session.
